MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO D.O.C. / RISERVA

Between the Gran Sasso massif and the sea, on the Sant’Andrea Estate in the hills around Pescara, the “Marramiero Dante” is created from mature strains. Here our wine-growers already carefully select the bunches when the berries are ripening to ensure an optimum, homogeneous ageing process. The wine is aged for 120 months. Initially, the fermentation phase and lengthy maceration process take place in both barriques and Ganimede tanks. Afterwards, ageing continues in barriques of 5 different types of oak and is completed by a long period in the bottle. Deep ruby red colour, lively and deep with hints of maroon, persistent, wide and complex scents expressing notes of fruit, spices and flowers. It has powerful yet delicate and rich top notes on the palate with intriguing originality and a long persistence. Aftertaste with a harmonious blend of scents characterised by fruit preserves. A tasty, complex, moreish wine. Its pronounced roundness and intense astringency
make it ideal to accompany pasta and rice dishes with truffle and mushrooms, red meat, game, hard cheeses and cured meats.

Preferably pour it into a decanter and leave to rest, then gradually bring to a temperature of 17°-20°C.
