MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO D.O.C. TERRE DEI VESTINI / RISERVA

From particularly suited areas of the Terre dei Vestini, where the low yields of grapes per hectare are all nature’s work: the soil, by its very nature, confers balance to the vineyard, making every bunch encompass a marvellous concentration of quality. It is aged for 40 months: initially it undergoes fermentation and a long maceration process in Ganimede tanks, then in stainless steel barrels and, last but not least, in fine oak barriques. The ageing phase comes full circle in the bottle, where the wine stays for at least 6 months. Its ruby red colour with maroon tinges, its intense, variegated aromas with notes of vanilla and its persistent, warm, full-bodied and harmonious taste make this a distinctive, charismatic wine.
Its qualities are brought to the fore with pasta and rice dishes featuring truffle, red meat, game, hard cheeses and cured meats.
